DIY Leather Bracelet

What do you get when you have a broken old thrifted belt & some string?

A cute leather bracelet, of course!

I used the part of the bracelet with the belt holes because I liked the hardware look, but I made my sister one without the holes. I made the bracelet pretty late, so I didn't have time to go to the store to get some studded snaps to hold the bracelet together, so I just poked a hole on both sides of the bracelet & used a cream leather string to tie the bracelet together.

Target

So, Target isn't exactly a garage or thrift store, but they really do specialize is quality for less. I have a problem with walking out of Target without buying something, but they usually always have 30-50% off sales which helps. One of my favorite buys were a pair of white converse skinny jeans! I have been wanting to buy a pair of white jeans, but a little nervous. I have seen them on many people and in some magazines and when I stumbled upon these for only $13, it was meant to be! Not to mention they were in Cosmo's "Must-Haves Under $50".

My shoes I have on, I have been searching for like crazy. I have been to 5 different Targets & looked online...I gave up hope until I stumbled upon the magical Target in Ontario. I got that pair for 25% & a pair of wedges for 75%, which made them 6 freakin' dollars. That is right...$6.24 to be exact, actually.

Oh, and as a bonus I bought a cute tshirt for $5 and I turned it into a scarf. When I finish the last touch on it, I will put it up.

Garage Sale

I was bored yesterday and I have been wanting to find something to do, a little project to keep me busy, so I decided to go garage sale hopping to see if I could find an old table or something. Well, I didn't find one, but I did strike gold with an awesome vintage flea market dealer. For some odd reason he was getting out of the vintage stuff and into more of the "purses, jewelry, and wallets!" thing...ya know the blinged out animal print, silver studded stuff? I mean yeah, some may be cute, but that over vintage? Oh man...Anyhoo, he was getting rid of a lot and for some reason he liked my appreciation for it & gave my mom and I some great deals.

Here is a preview of what I got. I will post more pictures tonight after I'm done photographing a wedding.

Who doesn't love a 70's floral pattern suitcase?

New in town...

So, I just recently moved to Columbus. I am very excited about the transition, but I am new in town...meaning I have no clue where anything is! I went downtown to "Short North" & actually drove a little too far, but along the way I found a glorious thing...Bum bum bum....GOODWILL! I've been back to this specific one a couple times and here are a few things I have found...

Pair of "Miss Me" jeans for $3.99!

An adorable gold decadent mirror for $1

Brand Spankin' New Steve Maddens, H&M heels, & Merona flats $3.99

& for my best find yet, Gorgeous hanging crystal silver bedside lamp $10 (a little more than I should have paid @ goodwill, but it is worth it. Look at it!) I had people trying to bargain with me outside of the store & a man follow me to the next store I went to...Talk about creepy
